New for 2026
On July 31, 2026, Embonpoint released the ten-year anniversary Second Edition of Fatizen 24602, the prose novel. This book has been out of print for over eight years with first editions selling on EBAY for upwards of $80.00. This new Second Edition contains an author's preface, "Looking Back: Ten Years of Fatizen." Philip discusses the impact of writing a book about a fat heroine fighting for survival in a thin-mandated world and the public's reaction to this story. If you have not yet read about Delilah Palladino, we invite you to join one woman's journey, and how she stands up for her right to be fat and inspires courage, hope, and a revolution.
In May 2026, Embonpoint raised the dead with the introduction of
Yrma, Mistress of the Dreadful Feature. This graphic novel is a parody of the best and classic late 20th Century sitcoms and Saturday morning cartoons while paying homage to the best Horror Movie Hostess on Earth! You know, the gal with the enormous...ratings. What do you get when you mix-up some classic horror films, the best television sitcoms from the 1950s, 60's & 70's, and throw in a few beloved cartoon characters with a sprinkle of T&A with yours truly, your zombie gal hostess with the best sass and wit? You get a daymn good time!
In May 2024, Embonpoint was proud to publish our first children's book!
Juniper and the Rose is a forty-six page story written by Daniel Natali Barragan and was inspired by Danny's young daughter, Juniper Rose.
In perfect symmetry, Mason Arrigo, Danny's other uncle, has graciously illustrated this nineteen line story that Mason describes as a children's book for adults. Everyone who has read the story has shed tears of joy. We hope you will enjoy and share it with your family, your partners and children.

We've been busy working on FATIZEN Part 2 for a summer 2020 release followed by the next installment of Blanc Noir in Fall 2020. We'll keep you all updated with those exciting projects.
We were recently invited to join writer Lise Quintana on her Living Large in American podcast to discuss FATIZEN and Philip's fat advocacy work leading him to write the prose book and develop it for a graphic novel with his husband Mason Arrigo along with colorist Chris Link. Getting the word out
Three years of book fairs, releases, and readings. The glamorous life of writing, illustrating, and publishing! We are so thankful to our family, friends and partners who have been there for us all along the way. We couldn't have done this without any of you. This journey has been a lot of hard work and joy. Definitely worth our effort!
Looking Back...
Today's environment of free speech and the reporting on the truth by journalists and the media has come under attack by many. Writer & Editor Philip Barragan addressed the importance of the written word in 2011 at Antioch University Los Angeles' Commencement Ceremony at UCLA's Royce Hall.
